Hallucination Stations: Some AI Mistakes Are a Math Limit, Not a Bug

A short paper argues that past a certain complexity a language model cannot answer correctly, no matter how good it is. The authors measured one: a small Llama model runs exactly 109,243,372,873 floating-point operations on any 17-token prompt.
